Thursday....Captain's Log Stardate 3-16-2006.....need....more.....power.....

I watched a silent movie last night on the Evangel University TV channel. It was called:

The General (Silent, 1927)

Directed by Buster Keaton and Clyde Bruckman, featuring Keaton, Marion Mack, Charles Smith, Frank Barnes. Engineer Johnnie loves Annabelle Lee and his train, "The General". But when the Civil War begins he is turned down for service because he's more valuable as an engineer, Annabelle thinks it's because he's a coward. Union spies capture The General with Annabelle on board, and Johnny must rescue both his loves.

It was funny, and most of it was centered on the train ride. It was amazing how even without 'sound', you could still tell what was going on. The background music was mostly just classical music; one of which was the "Danube Waltz". Didn't get to watch all of it....it was 10:30 and I was starting to fall asleep. But it was very interesting to watch!! And I'm sure most of the actors did their own stunts, some of which looked painful!!

OOPS!!!

I've made a boo-boo!! On the news article I wrote about a week ago, I said that a trans-gender was running against our GOVERNOR .. when he has filed to run against Roy Blunt in the Aug. 8 Republican primary for Missouri's 7th District U.S. representative. (wrong "Blunt")

I didn't want anybody to think I was crazy or anything....yeah.......RIGHT!!!

Just wanted to clarify that for all those interested parties.

Well, made it through another crazy Monday. This week's weather is supposed to be rainy and maybe stormy....although I do HATE storms, I guess that's a part of spring that I'll just have to get used to. They say to 'face your fears', so perhaps this will be the year I will do just that. Since our Winter was so mild, I suppose our Spring could be really busy.....but if so, perhaps most of our bad weather will occur during daylight hours. I can 'face' my fear a little better if I can SEE it!!!

Hope all who read this have a great day......I feel another cold coming on.........so I'm drinking lots of hot tea and water. Darn mold spores!!

It's FRIDAY once again...

Yes, it's Friday once again. Just found out that there is a trans-gender running against our Governor on the Republican ticket. Yes, it's going to be a VERY interesting election year. Here is the link to the story in our News-Leader:

Only 45 min until lunch time...I am STARVING....I was a good girl and had my oatmeal this morning, but that is since long gone and my tummy is empty!! Not sure what I will have today....hamburger, chicken.....hmm.......too many choices!!

Just another day....

It's Thursday which means Chris has trombone lessons and I get to babysit while Ashley and Danny go out and celebrate a belated Valentine's Day. Ah....love is in the air!!!

Friday night is an "International Pot Luck Dinner" at the BSU...it's where the International Students make a dish from their country and bring it for all to enjoy. Us "Americans" are responsible for bringing the desserts. Should be some interesting dishes from all over!!
